SafeNet Trusted Access for Sumo Logic
Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Sumo Logic is a three-step process:
1.Sumo Logic setup
2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup
As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider signing certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download X.509 certificate button. You will need this certificate in one of the steps given below.
Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in Sumo Logic:
1.Log in to Sumo Logic as an administrator using the https://service.sumologic.com/ui/ URL.
2.On the Sumo Logic administrator dashboard, click Exit Setup Wizard.
3.In the left pane, click Administration > Security.
4.In the right pane, click the SAML tab.
5.Under Configuration List, click the icon.
6.Under Add Configuration, perform the following steps:
a.In the Configuration Name field, enter a name for the IdP profile that can be same as your organization's name (for example, safenet).
b.In the Issuer field, enter the ISSUER/Entity ID URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
You can copy this URL by clicking the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the ISSUER/Entity ID field.
c.In a text editor, open the identity provider signing certificate that you downloaded from SafeNet Trusted Access console and copy the entire the text of the certificate.
d.In the X.509 Certificate field, paste the text that you copied in the previous step.
e.Under Attribute Mapping, select the Use SAML Subject option.
f.Under Optional Settings, select the SP Initiated Login Configuration check box.
g.In the Login Path field, enter a name for your organization (for example, safenet).
h.In the Authn Request URL field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
You can copy this URL by clicking the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the SingleSignOnService field.
7.Under Configuration List, select the Idp profile (for example, safenet) that you created earlier in step 6 (a) and perform the folowing steps:
After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Sumo Logic, the second step is to activate the Sumo Logic application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:
1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Sumo Logic application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Sumo Logic) and proceed to the next step.
2.Under STA Setup, perform the following steps:
a.In the ORGANIZATION ID field, enter the organization ID that you copied earlier in step 7 (b) of Sumo Logic Setup.
b.Click Upload Certificate to upload the service provider signing certificate that you downloaded earlier in step 6 (i) of Sumo Logic Setup.
3.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Sumo Logic application in SafeNet Trusted Access.
Navigate to the Sumo Logic SSO initiated login URL that you copied earlier in step 7 (a) of Sumo Logic Setup. You will be redirected to the Sumo Logic Welcome page, click Sign in with safenet. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Sumo Logic dashboard after authentication.
Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Sumo Logic application icon, you should be redirected to the Sumo Logic dashboard after authentication.
